Check Website Ratings

Below are three methods of checking the nature of a questionable website, without viewing it directly. Each of these tools are provided by a different website.

Tips and Suggestions:
  • If the domain (Website) name above contains any profane/vulgar words or terms which indicate questionable or mature content you can be pretty sure that the site is problematic.
Once again the best advice is to email the report owner using the link above.

  • If the path (specific page) contains vulgar or profane words then the site most likely has questionable content. However, words which refer to possibly mature content do not necessarily indicate a problem on the site - For example, a news article might contain those words as well.

  • Be aware of the type of file referenced in the path, for example .html indicates a normal webpage. If you see any of the following: .jpg,.gif,.png it refers to an image that was viewed. The name of the image indicated in the path can often give you a good understanding of the nature of this website.

Some more important things to remember:

  • If you have been designated as a Chaver then you have the moral responsibility to do your utmost to accurately read the reports and make necessary comments to the user that you hold accountable.

  • You should NEVER navigate to a link or domain that has been indicated as problematic in the report.

  • If you are unsure about a certain website, the best solution is to ask the user that you hold accountable about the link. Aside from clarifying the nature of the website this also serves the purpose of reminding the user that you are actually viewing his reports. (Note: Choosing "reply" to an Accountability Report will send a message to the Chaver you are monitoring)

  • Webchaver will never provide you with a direct link to a questionable website. Clicking on any report link will always bring you to this page.
