WebChaver is a non-profit organization inspired by the urgent need for strong and effective safeguards against the terribly destructive aspects of the Internet. Internet misuse has caused irreparable harm to many individuals and families. The founders of WebChaver feel that something must be done, and this is our answer to the call.

The concept of WebChaver that sets us apart from other organizations and companies is threefold:

We are non-profit, run by dedicated volunteers driven by the obvious need for a workable solution to Internet misuse. Hence, we can provide this service for pennies a day.

WebChaver is not a filter. Although we do suggest using a filter in addition to our system, that is not our main concern. Filters are known for their many disadvantages, as well as their being based on an arbitrary (not necessarily Jewish) standard. With an accountability system, the user is forced to exercise caution in his use of the Internet, teaching and promoting personal responsibility. Our solution is workable for all types of professions and households. Because we don’t filter or otherwise block (blacklist) any content, this solution can work for EVERYONE and ANYONE who wishes to protect himself and his family, without exception.
